Our Top 10 Quarantine Playlist
During this unconventional time of isolation you might be looking for some songs that help you get through another glorious day of lockdown. We’ve gone through our favourite playlists from the past couple of months and picked some songs that go along with the general vibe of the present moment!.
Here’s our top ten picks from this week’s quarantine playlist.
COLDPLAY – SOMETHING JUST LIKE THIS
It doesn’t get more wistful than this jam. Hang on single people, your time is coming.
THE 1975 – IT’S NOT LIVING (IF IT’S NOT WITH YOU)
Here is a little number for your quarantine partners in crime. Life is better with good people.
ALL TIME LOW – GOOD TIMES
We make our own memories, be sure to color coat them with some good. Some days are hard, but we get to choose how we will remember this time!
THROUGH – JIMMY EAT WORLD
This is going to end, but we’ve got to keep our heads up and go for the gold at the end of the rainbow.
MALLRAT – GROCERIES
This anthem certainly takes on a different vibe in the time of lockdown. The new normal, dates to the grocery store?
ALEC BENJAMIN – SIX FEET APART
It’s pretty self-explanatory. This song was made and released during isolation, we’re sure you all can relate.
TODRICK HALL – MASK, GLOVES, SOAP, SCRUBS
For those of you dying to let your inner QUEEN out, this parody from Todrick hall of his own song Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels will marry our international desire for PPE and some night out energy.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS – HOME
Bringing it back a bit with this number, but now it’s more important than ever to remember that home is where we make it. Anyone else with wandering feet might find sitting still hard, but look around and find joy in the small things, this too shall pass.
THE AERONAUTS – HOME TO YOU
Similar vibes to our previous pick but a good reminder to be mindful during this time. Go to the places in your home that give you peace and reflect on the world you want when this ends.
NORTHERN ANTHEMS – THINGS WILL GET BETTER
Our final pick is my personal favourite, a simple reminder that things will and do get better. It’s a simple song, melancholy enough to fit any of your lesser moods, but filled with hope. Because as we know there is a light at the end of this tunnel, and things will get better!
There’s more where that came from! Find our lockdown sounds playlist on our Spotify here among many others to fit whatever mood you find yourself in. Let us know your favourite tunes!
